Alaviana
Alaviana is a fruity wine with light oaky touches.
The 2011 and 2012 vintages are composed of 80% of Garnacha and 20% of Syrah.
The harvest is manual, in box of 16 kg or 250 kg bins. The grape selection in the vineyard is essential.
In the cellar, the harvest is destemmed and partially crush.
Maceration and fermentation takes place in open concrete tanks and extraction is smoothly through daily punching down. Maceration is about 10 days.
The malolactic fermentation takes place in concrete tanks.
About 30 % of the volume is ageg between 4 and 6 months in French oak barrels.
This wine is slightly clarified but is neither filtered nor stabilized.
This last feature explains the possible occurrence of sediment in the bottle. This sediment has no negative influence on the quality of the wine.
